<p>Lowering the risk factors associated with heart attacks and heart disease are certainly one way to look out for your heart. Smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diet, and high blood sugar are often risk factors associated with heart attacks. These are all risk factors that you can control. While age, family history and preeclampsia are risk factors you can’t avoid, the others are.</p>

<p>What would you say if someone told you that your doctor got his degree online? Many people assume that this is a bad thing but it can actually be a really great thing.</p>
<p>Reasons you should be glad to find out that your doctor got an online degree include:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>It means he is dedicated to his work.</strong> You can&#8217;t complete a degree online if you&#8217;re a slacker. There&#8217;s no one there to motivate you to get it done. Your doctor has a proven ability to commit to the job.</li>
<li><strong>It indicates a high level of intelligence.</strong> People who get online degrees often tend to be people who are really smart.</li>
<li><strong>It could mean that he has a specialty.</strong> Maybe he has an <a href="http://www.atsu.edu/ashs/online_programs/occupational_therapy/index.htm">online occupation therapy degree</a> or perhaps he attended one of the many <a href="http://www.atsu.edu/ashs/online_programs/physician_assistant/index.htm">online physician assistant programs</a>. This can be done after completing a general medical degree.</li>
<li><strong>It suggests that he&#8217;s flexible and open-minded.</strong> The online degree is still new enough that students have to be out-of-the-box thinkers to do well in this type of setting.</li>
<li><strong>It definitely means he&#8217;s good with paperwork.</strong> Online degrees are writing-based degrees. Your doctor can do the <a href="http://clinicaltrials.gov/">research</a> necessary to find the answers that you are seeking.</li>

<p>Skin care is something that you should start to think about before it becomes a problem. Ideally you are already using products that are designed to prevent <a href="http://skincare.about.com/">skin care problems</a>. If you didn&#8217;t do this and have developed skin care problems then you should treat them as early as possible using non-invasive procedures.</p>
<p>There are many different types of non-invasive procedures that are available to treat problematic skin conditions. Some of these procedures aren&#8217;t procedures at all but instead are products that you can apply to treat skin that is just beginning to show signs of damage. The topical products in the <a href="http://www.beautyreports.org/murad-review">Murad</a> skin care line fall into this category. Other procedures, such as <a href="http://www.beautyreports.org/fraxel-review">Fraxel</a> laser treatment, do require a doctor&#8217;s assistance but are not surgical.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whether or not we really need to eat meat is one of the hottest topics in some circles.  Vegetarians such as my husband don&#8217;t eat any meat, while vegans avoid animal products of any kind (even milk, eggs, etc.).  I consider myself a <a title="flexitarian" href="http://www.dietbites.com/Diet-Articles-3/flexitarian.html">flexitarian</a>, which means that I eat meat on occasion &#8212; usually when we eat out.</p>
<p>On the other hand, some people, such as my dad, feel that meat is an integral part of any diet, and find it next to impossible to even conceive of avoiding meat.  My mom has recently decided to become a vegetarian, so my dad tries to compensate by using products that are supposed to simulate meat.  He hasn&#8217;t yet discovered how many wonderful things you can make if you get away from the preconceived notion of meat, veggies, and potatoes being part of every meal.</p>
<p>If you are trying to cook for someone who doesn&#8217;t eat meat, or if you are considering cutting meat out of your diet, taking a few cooking classes from a local <a title="culinary school" href="http://www.culinard.com/">culinary school</a> can give you some ideas of what to make.  There are many cuisines that don&#8217;t include a lot of meat, so <a title="culinary arts institutes" href="http://www.culinard.com/about-culinary-institute/about.cfm">culinary arts institutes</a> are the best resources if you need help on what to make.  You may also want to consult a few vegetarian cookbooks &#8212; there are quite a few good ones out there.</p>
<p>Ultimately, whether to eat meat is a personal decision.  Whether based on health or morals, there are many reasons why cutting meat out of your diet is beneficial.  But if even if you don&#8217;t agree, if someone you know or live with has made the decision, it is important to support them &#8212; even if that means learning to cook something a little different.</p>

<p>You know that old grandfather that everyone had to shout at because he wouldn&#8217;t wear his hearing aid?  That is the kind of person I am talking about.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, by doing so you are only cheating yourself of a full life.  No one will think less of you if you admit to having hearing problems and seek out <a title="audiologist services" href="http://www.adviceonhearingaids.com/audiologist.aspx">audiologist services</a>, but there is a lot that <em>you</em> will miss out on if you don&#8217;t.</p>
<p>Furthermore, if you don&#8217;t get help most likely you are going to annoy a lot of people by forcing them to shout in your ear every time they want to tell you something.  Eventually they will stop talking to you as much, and again, this just results in you missing out on stuff.</p>
<p>So if you think you are having hearing problems as you age, don&#8217;t hesitate.  Go see your doctor, get a referral to a specialist, and get fitted for a hearing aid.  You &#8212; and, secretly, your loved ones &#8212; will be glad you did.</p>
