I would have to say that I love college.  It has opened up my mind to a large number of possibilities as to what I want to do with my life.  In fact, at this moment I don’t know exactly what I want to do, but it will be something that has to do with the public and their health – my area of specialty is sports fitness.

But before I can graduate, there are a few papers that I need to write.  They will be done over the next couple of years, so I have plenty of time to do them.  What I love the most though is that I get to choose the topics provided that they are related to my field of study.

So, this year, I am doing a paper on managing teams.  Specifically, it will be a study on the effects of good leadership on the effectiveness of a team captain to lead their team to victory.  I am actually partnering up with a psychology student to do the study as there are psychological aspects to it as well.

We still have to figure out some kind of metrics to measure our study and we will have to arrange to follow a couple of teams throughout the season to measure how they do.  It will be a lot of work, but it is certainly an interesting topic for me.  It will be interesting to see the final results.

Boat accessories is big business. In fact, it is huge business. With the number of boats being manufactured going up every year for the past several, it is no wonder that the sales of after market parts and accessories has increased dramatically over the past decade or so.

One of the manufacturers perennially at the top of the sales lists is Mercury Marine, the maker of Mercruiser parts. A company that has been around since just after the turn of the 20th century, Mercury had created a solid business of providing boat owners with quality well priced parts and accessories.

If you have the choice between genuine parts and after market knock offs, you’ll always want to choose the best parts your money can buy. In order to maintain the integrity and sailing shape of your vessel, don’t even consider saving a few bucks by buying cheap, often imitation parts.

When you have to depend on your boat to weather the storm, and get back to your home port, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that you put in top quality parts and accessories when you had the chance. There could be no bigger nightmare on the seas than to discover that a cheap part is what stranded you out in there, waiting for the Coast Guard to come and rescue you.
