wow, they actually have a debate where you can go against discipline in class? lol, ok, how about these points:

>sometimes the teachers might get carried away and hurt the child's feelings or self-esteem

>there should be a spirit of freedom and expression in the classroom, and discipline takes that away and subdues the childrens' talents

>there is no certain set range for how the authority of the school can discipline the class [like no law for it],
so different students of different schools can be at different advantages and disadvantages according to how much discipline each school wants.
so it can become a chaotic system

>sometimes the more discipline a school wants it its classrooms, the more the students can rebel about it and cause more trouble

>children listen more if explained something nicely and in a friendly manner, rather than an authoritative discipline

It is really hard to debate against discipline. There r 2 types of disciplines: so strict(sort of militarian/army) and the other modifies the behaviour of students with freedom but without misbehaviour.
now you actually have landed in trouble by going against the topic.

here I can think of some points, but there is no way to go against the second type of discipline as it is considered 2 b an ideal situation, the points r against the first type n u can manipulate them.

 1) it never lets the students(specially shy ones) express themselves as they r kind of afraid of the teacher. the teacher becomes a devil 4 them. It creates lack of confidence in them.

2) The student is so afraid that he tries to complete class work or homework but never learns it. It leads 2 poor grades.

3) He might over react against it n misbehaves, becomes rude n stubborn n develops negative feelings and character. most importantly he is deprived of education which can make him commit crime in future.
Best of luck
