What Is Scrap Gold?
When people think of selling scrap gold, the first thing that comes to mind is jewelry. And jewelry is an excellent example of something that might be scrap gold. Maybe it is a piece of jewelry that has long gone out of style. Maybe it is a necklace that you can’t untangle. If it has gold in it, you can sell this jewelry as scrap gold. But if you want to sell scrap gold, jewelry is not the only example. There are some things that you might not think of as being scrap gold that actually are.
Scrap gold can be anything that has gold in it, but doesn’t have much retail value. Here is one I bet you didn’t think of: How about old gold fillings and teeth? When they replace your old gold fillings with the new white fillings, you can sell your old fillings as scrap gold!
Or maybe you have some gold bullion. There is certainly no sentimental value about gold bullion! Gold bullion is not art. And there are many more examples of scrap gold which you may have that you did not think of. There is gold wire, gold solder, gold mesh, gold flake, and so on. And the condition of this scrap gold really doesn’t matter because it is just going to get melted down once you sell the gold.
