Why are the Republican candidates unwilling to participate in a “YouTube” debate?
Only Ron Paul & John McCain are game. Are the rest afraid to take questions directly from the American public?
Of course the whole idea of a YouTube debate is a bit odd, but this is the information age after all.
Ron Paul is the only free thinker running for Republican nomination.
Dylan, this morn on the radio I heard only those 2 were willing to participate. Just got home from work, so I haven’t heard any changes. If I’m wrong, my fault!
Bryan, are you serious?! C’mon, FOX isn’t news. Even my conservative friends (they’re REAL conservatives, not boot-lickers like you) know it’s pure propaganda!
1st Buzie, nobody’s asking them tame a lion, smart guy. Just answers questions from the public. I guess you prefer a dictator who could care less what the electorate thinks. I guess that means you’ll be moving to North Korea or Cuba. Good, you obviously cannot appreciate a democratic republic.

It will be September 14th , if I am not mistaken. I would assume that more than just Paul and McCain would participate. I don’t think that it would be shrewed to skip out on that one.
The offer was changed to fox news choosing the questions from among those submitted maybe if the issue is that cnn chooses the other reps would be willing.
The other reps would be willing.

because Ron Paul is not false like the rest
They are conservatives. Conservative people don’t want to try something new.
I think they are realizing it is a lost cause.
It’s just not high class enough for them. one of them even said as much I think it was Mitt
Well Giuliani, McCain, Romney and Paul would get most time. The lower guys(Huckabee, Tancredo, Brownback, Thompson, etc.) should do it to help themselves, but its a waste of time
It will happen. Give them a few months to catch up culturally.
I don’t know! Why are Democrats so unwilling to participate in a debate sponsored by Fox News? Are they afraid to take questions which will reach a predominantly conservative audience? It’s politics plain and simple. I am sure that many Republican candidates have not embraced the Internet fully yet and consider it a haven for liberals. I mean let’s be honest most are old white stuffed shirts who are indeed slow to respond and change with the times. I could be wrong on this, but it seems like as plausible an explanation as any that might be presented.
Edit: I am not a boot licker. Unlike yourself I don’t kiss any party’s hindquarters. I vote for people not party agendas. Second, I don’t watch Fox News. However, it is a news outlet. Want to argue it is biased that is fine, because I would agree with you there. They do have a large audience though. If Democrats want to attempt to win over these votes they would make the attempt to reach them by whatever means are necessary.
How do you spin a debate? And if you even try it would be so patently obvious as to be laughable and would prove beyond a shadow of doubt how biased Fox is on matters which would add support to their claims. Like the Democrats in question, you are short sighted and cannot see the big picture. You just attack anything you don’t agree with out of hand (i.e. Boot Licker comment) . Get over yourself pal and before you talk about anything, or anyone being biased, take a good long look in the mirror, because your presumptions about my political leanings without supporting evidence show how biased you are on matters.
They are not circus performers
