Because the Media and whoever puts on these debates want it that way. I totally AGREE that ALL candidates no matter their party affiliation should be included in all debates. It is NOT right, it is NOT fair, it IS our Media and higher ups rigging our own elections and the process.

Because the other candidates really do not have a chance to win. If they had any votes at all (like Ross Perot) they would be invited.

The media and government would have you accept that the range of political discourse in the United States must be very narrow. The policy differences between McCain and Obama are slight, and the debates reinforce the idea that voters have only two choices. The suggestion, which we are told over and over again, that a rational voter will choose only between the two largest vote-getters is nonsense, pure and simple. My vote is a statement of who I am and what I believe, and I do not believe in the two “major parties,” which have been bought and paid for by Wall Street and business corporations. Your vote can be a statement of who you are and what you believe too. More Americans today are “independents” rather than Democrats or Republicans, because Americans have lost faith in the Demopublican corporate machine. Vote for a “third party” candidate in 2008, and send Washington/Wall Street a message!
